Mom, 23, is arrested and charged after her eight-month-old baby girl

The mother of an eight-month-old baby girl has been arrested in connection to the child’s death after she was found face down in the bathtub of their Bronx home  Amelie Belle Perez passed away in a New York hospital on July 15. The toddler spent nearly two weeks in an intensive care unit after her mother, Emily Ramirez, left her in the tub at their apartment along Vyse Avenue in the Bronx on July 3  In late July, Amelie’s death was ruled a homicide.
