Baby found dead inside hot car in Pineville shopping center, police say

WE HAVEANG UPDATE — HAVE AN UPDATE ON THAT BREAKING STORY TONIGHT. A CHILD DIED IN A HOT CAR. PINEVILLE POLICE ARE TELLING US THIS HAPPENED IN A McMULLIN CREEK SHOPPING CENTER OFFICERS NOW TELLING US THAT THE MOTHER LEFT THE CHILD IN THE CAR. AND THAT ONCE SHE GOT BACK IN IT, SHE REALIZED THAT HER CHILD WAS IN THERE STILL AND SHE EVENTUALLY PULLED OVER. AND THIS IS WHERE THINGS ENDED UP. THIS IS THE LOWE’S PARKING LOT, NOT FAR AWAY. AND THERE’S NO WORD ON THE AGE OF THE CHILD. BUT AGAIN, YOU SEE THOSE POLICE CRUISERS THERE. THAT ONE VEHICLE IN THE CENTER.
