30 Brilliant Organizing Ideas For Tiny Bathroom

By Grover Koelpin 22 comments

You won’t want to do all of these at once but if you pick one or two of them you might be surprised at how much your life improves Or just feel proud that you did something productive. Here Are 30 Brilliant Hacks For Your Tiny Bathroom 1. Add a frame to your basic mirror A happy bathroom combines design and functionality Framing your mirror quickly updates the feel of your itty-bitty bathroom Use molding and paint it whatever color you like best or use basic trim if you’re not into the traditional look 2. Hang spice racks to organize your hair products and lotions Two Bekvam spice racks fit all of that stuff you use every day (or think you’ll use every day) Add a coat of paint or stain if you want to color-coordinate them with the rest of your bathroom You could also hang them on the inside of your cabinets so they’re out of sight 3. Use coat hooks instead of a towel rod for shared bathrooms Some of us aren’t lucky enough to live without roommates so when the germophobe in your life insists on their own hand towel hang up coat hooks to keep things organized 4. Use small storage solutions to make it easier to find your stuff When you only have one cabinet, you have to maximize that tiny space These StickOnPods hold tiny things like nail polish Lazy Susans let you reach the stuff in the back of your cabinet as easily as you can reach the stuff in the front 5. Speaking of small things, keep your bobby pins in check with magnets. This bathroom hack’s been all over the internet but it’s so useful we couldn’t pass it up 6. Hang two shower rods (because those shower head racks never work as well as you think they should) Use shower curtain hooks to secure baskets like this one to the rod Make sure they have holes in them of some sort, so the water can drain. 7. Put a book shelf above your door for extra storage You probably won’t want to store your most-used items up here but you could put extra towels, cleaning supplies (elegantly tucked into a pretty bin) or old magazines up there Use wood screws to secure a pair of wooden shelf brackets to either side of the door frame and then screw shelf to brackets The shelf should rest on top of the door molding which will help support the weight 8. Create a focal point, like your shower curtain to draw visual attention to a single place Keep everything else in your bathroom simple and make your shower the most attractive thing in there For example, hang two curtains instead of one, and use a basic color scheme 9. Use a stacked plate rack to make extra counter storage space. When you run out of horizontal counter space, go vertical instead. This example’s very decorative but you can also make it more functional by storing your toothbrush, toothpaste, or ponytail holders 10. Make a magnet board to organize your makeup You could hang this on the back of your door or the inside of one of your cabinets or on any bit of blank wall that isn’t serving any other purpose 11. Hang up mason jars to store little things like cotton balls and makeup sponges This would also require a blank bit of wall, but it’s a pretty awesome DIY 12. Choose a larger mirror to reflect more space It’s a simple visual trick that increases the amount of light in the bathroom super important when you’re doing makeup 13. Roll your towels, don’t fold them It’s an old packing trick: Rolling clothes helps you fit more of them in the suitcase Same thing goes with towels when you roll them instead of folding them you can fit more of them in the same amount of space It’ll also make your bathroom feel more like a spa. 14. Install pull-out drawers in your cabinets You usually find them for kitchen cabinets but they work just as well in the bathroom It’s the same concept as the Lazy Susan letting you access the depths of your cabinet without having to dig past old bottles 15. Install multiple towel rods on the back of your door. Few bathrooms have enough places to hang towels Stacking towel bars behind closed doors is a great way to remedy the shortage and use space efficiently 16. Screw a magazine holder onto the back of a cabinet door to store the hair dryer This will really save you space 17. Bring wrinkled clothes in while you shower Get the clothes as close to the heat and water as you can without getting them wet It takes about 15 minutes of steam to get rid of wrinkles 18. Place your reader in a ziploc bag so you can read without worrying 19. Drill your way to clean. Fit a scrub brush to a drill and use your favorite cleaner. No more manual scrubbing needed 20. Stow spare rolls of toilet paper in a clear glass vase or umbrella stand it’s a sleek way of stacking them and you’ll know at a glance when you need to refill the supply 21. Use a Vertical Towel Rack Walls in bathrooms are often underutilized To make towels and washcloths handy for bathers install a hotel-style multitiered rack on the wall next to the tub 22. Rolling Towel For an always-ready drying surface Few of us don’t want our own bathrooms to resemble a public restroom in any way but the rolling hand towel loop is an excellent invention equally useful in the home for providing when you need something dry 23. Use a kitchen utensil tray to organize your bathroom toiletries You’ll get much better use out of one of these in your bathroom drawer than in your kitchen 24. Consolidate multiple bags and jars of bathtub salts into a clear cookie jar Not only will this save space, but it also makes cute bathroom decor 25. Use old mason jars to hold your makeup brushes An easy way to add some vintage style to your bathroom 26. Install a small tension rod under your sink to hang your cleaning supplies and allow more room below for storage No one wants to waste precious real estate under the sink for storing cleaning supplies This hack will allow you to organize both your beauty products and cleaning supplies in harmony 27. Use a cake stand to beautifully store your favorite shower products like the new 28. Stick adhesive wall organizers inside your medicine cabinet to store small, hard-to-find products The smaller the product, the easier it is to lose in the abyss that is your bathroom cabinet With these wall organizers, your lip balm will always be right where you left it 29. Use a pretty butter dish to hold and cover your cotton balls, sponges, and cotton swabs Anything looks beautiful when stored in a vintage butter dish — even cotton pads. 30. Store your hairstyling products in a wine rack to save counter space and make them easily accessible Your new favorite way to use a wine rack. Did she say FUNCTUALITY? 0:27

I did look it up, just to make sure it wasn't a derivation I wasn't familiar with.
Nope. It is supposed to be FUNCTIONALITY.
The nearly-impossible-to-see captions has it spelled correctly. LOL

Wait…a starburst decor piece on the wall in the SHOWER? That's gonna be fun to clean.

The only one I didn't like was the bobby pins on the magnet strip. Looks ugly. Some suggestions are lovely.

Thank you for this video, most of these ideas are great!

However, that spiky decoration at 2:40 is an accidental eye-gouging just waiting to happen!

Do not like sticky stuff on wall with Hair Pins? The shower looks good, and the the stand is very cool. Do not like stick up stuff on any wall. Yes, the sink, mirror is great. And, yes roll the towels, too, the towel racks look great too. Old mason jars, yes, and bath salts looks pretty too.

dear god – i must be a germaphobe – i will NOT dry my hands or any body part on a towel that some other person has used possibly on their arse – yuck – hell no – that is just sooooo gross to use a towel that someone else has used on their body – who knows where that towel has been – shudder
